How does it work?
As a Volunteer Centre, we aim to give you the opportunity to advertise your volunteering vacancies to as wide an audience as possible for free. Every year, we have around 3000 people registering with us, who would like to become volunteers in Southwark. We achieve this by promoting your volunteering vacancies on the national volunteering database www.do-it.org.uk, holding outreach events and providing information and advice to potential volunteers on an individual basis.
How long does it take to get a volunteer?
This depends on a variety of factors.
· Does the volunteer role require any specialist skills?
· How interesting is the volunteer role?
· How much information have you provided?
For more information on how to create volunteer roles and the kind of information potential volunteers look for please download our information leaflet.
