volunteers management forum
What is the Volunteers Management Forum (VMF) ?
The Volunteer Management Forum (VMF) aims to bring together voluntary organisations working with or interested in working with volunteers in the borough of Southwark. You don’t have to be “Volunteer Manager” to attend but if your role includes working with and supporting volunteers within your organisation you may find the forums useful.
At the Volunteer Management Forums you can
- Network with peers
- Find out about what other local organisation do and how you can link in together
- Benefit from training session and workshops featuring a variety of volunteer management issues
- Discuss issues of good practice and issues facing the third sector
- Bring your own challenges and successes to the forum
“I have found the networking I do with his group better than any other I belong to – something to do with the informal friendly atmosphere you set.”(Forum member feedback)
Why Attend?
If you haven’t been to the Southwark VMF before, it is a great chance to meet other people working with volunteers and look at different aspects of involving volunteers and good practice. It is also an opportunity to see what is going on in the borough, meet other people, find out about new developments, and what services are open to you.
There is also an Agony Uncle session for any of your volunteer issues. At the end of the forum there is an optional free lunch, which is a great networking opportunity.
