Section 3: Volunteer Management Charter

Good Practice in Volunteer involvement We want volunteering in Southwark to be the best it can be, and as such strongly believe in the principles of good practice within Volunteer Management. We seek to promote and support good practice and strive towards a Southwark where volunteers and volunteer managers are valued and well resourced. The London Volunteer Management Charter The points listed under this section represent our Volunteer Management Charter, which was developed as a quality mark by the Volunteer Centre Network across London and outlines the basic principles of good practice. We ask all groups that register with Volunteer Centre Southwark to endorse the principles outlined in the Volunteer Management Charter.
We recognise you may not meet all the standards at this point in time and this will not prevent you from registering with us. However, we would like to ensure that all volunteering opportunities we promote are well managed and offer a good experience to the organisation and the volunteer. We will also offer you support to achieve the aims identified.
Thank you for your time. We look forward to working with you!
