What kind of skills are needed?
- Project management
- Marketing
- Artist
- Health and safety/risk assessment
- Business mentoring
- Legal advice
- Web designer
- Finance
- ICT support
- First aid training
This is by no means a definitive list, but should give an idea of the kind of support the Volunteer Bank project is looking to provide for the not-for-profit sector.
How will it work?
The scope of the volunteering will be agreed between the individual and the organisation. This could mean a one-off project lasting up to several working days or an agreement of ongoing voluntary support. The timescale and commitment is agreed at the start of the project to make things clear for both parties. Project could include risk assessing new facilities, installing a computer system or designing a mural, for example.
