Volunteering can take many shapes or forms depending on your interests and passions. You can search all our opportunities online, come in for a chat or workshop, or get in touch for an information pack. If you are unsure why not see what other people do in the case studies section, or visit our Frequently Asked Questions> (FAQ's).
We list all our opportunities on do-it, the national volunteering database. Search here to see what you can do in Southwark. When you see something that you like you can register on the website and we will get back to you within 5 working days.
If you are unsure what you would like to do or where to start then get in touch. We are open for drop-ins on Tuesdays from 10am - 6pm and Thursdays 10am - 4pm so you can come in and talk to one of the team. You will receive information and advice about volunteering opportunities that match your interests, skills and availability. You will be able to search through 100s of opportunities and get in touch with organisations you are interested in while you are with us.
Tuesdays and Thursdays no good? We also offer 45 minute one-to-one appointments at different times each week so give us a call to find out when the next ones are. We are also very happy to provide information, advice and support over the phone if that is more convenient.

If you prefer us to send you some information by post, please call to give us your contact details and we will send you out an information and registration pack. You can complete this form telling us what your interests are and post it back to us in the freepost envelope provided. We will then send you some opportunties which match your interests.
The do-it website lists thousands of opportunities from other Volunteer Centres and national organisations. Visit do-it to see what else you can do across London. Once you find an opportunity you like you can register your interest, and the Centre that listed the role will get back to you with the full details, usually within 5 days.
We run training through the year which is designed to help you find out more about what volunteering you could do, and then give you skills to make your volunteering easier. Visit our training calendar to find out more. We also run different projects to enable people to have additional support to start volunteering or use volunteering to change their lives. At the moment we are running:
BOOST! Work Experience Project for unemployed Soutwhark residents who want to use volunteering to increase their skills to help them get a job. Find out more
Supported Volunteering Project for Southwark residents experiencing mental ill health and wanting to volunteer as part of getting back on their feet. Find out more
Youth volunteering and other ways to find out about volunteering: There are lots of other projects that can help you find out what’s going on, see what there is in out links section
