One to One Advice Sessions

Confidential one to one advice sessions are held weekly. To find out when the next slots are or to book a place please get in touch with e-mail us or phone on (020) 7403 2936.

Why come to a one to one advice session?

One to one advice sessions are for anyone wanting to find out more about volunteering and how to get involved. These sessions are held weekly at our offices in London Bridge in a private confidential space. If you can't attend a session we could either try and find a mutually convenient time or talk through things by phone or by email, letter etc.

What happens at a one to one advice session?

Advice sessions are informal chats about volunteering. By coming to one you are looking at the options open to you as someone thinking about volunteering. By coming to a session you are not committing to anything. Sessions usually last about 30 minutes and cover the following process:

Welcome and introduction about what the Volunteer Centre and other relevant services.

Explanation about what will happen in the advice session.

Talk about what you would like to get out of volunteering, what and when you would like to do something.

Go through what we have available on our database and talk about each option.

Print out the full details of any opportunities you may like to do.

Talk through what happens next and give you some more information about volunteering.

Answer any questions you may have.
